Dr. Qing Li Murphy (Dr. TCM, Dr. Ac., CMD)

Dr. Qing Li Murphy comes from a long line of TCM practitioners in China. Her family has been practicing Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for more than 100 years.

Dr. Li Murphy started learning Traditional Chinese Medicine at the age of fifteen as an apprentice in her uncle’s clinic. She later attended the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and was awarded her Bachelor of Medicine degree in 1989. She practiced medicine in China, specializing in Obstetrics and Acupuncture for 15 years until 2004, when she emigrated to Canada. After a hiatus to learn English, Dr. Li Murphy opened her practice in Halifax in 2008. In total she has more than 25 years of clinical experience treating patients here and in China.

Dr. Li Murphy is an active member of the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC). She is a registered acupuncture provider with Medavie/Blue Cross.
